In my opinion, it talks about the innocence of youth. The boys saw this fallen angel and their first instinct was to help her, but when they carried her broken body past the elderly villagers they saw her as a monster, as something to be feared, and destroyed. The lyrics play in by saying take care of that which is infinite, and you will be rewarded, but selflessness will bring you pain. I dunno.
